Performance Enhancement Initiative:
- To improve the baseline performance of the Criminal Justice System by identifying current operational shortcomings, recommending and implementing improvements.
Criminal Justice System Review:
- To provide a foundation for the transformation of the Criminal Justice System into an effective, efficient and appropriate system, whose performance is capable of being measured.
- To significantly reduce the incidence of violent organised crime through focused and coordinated multi agency cooperation (within and between government and the business sector) and improved arrest and prosecution rates of organized criminals, at all levels including the top layer (The Bosses of Crime Syndicates).
- To mobilize the public in the fight against crime and develop communication relating to the ‘Step Change’ fight against crime;
- To identify opportunities for improvements in the fight against crime by harnessing and converting innovation and energy from both business and government into short and medium term impact.
