About Us

Business Against Crime, originally funded by its founding sponsors, extended its source of funding to the broader business sector to meet the funding requirements of its initiatives. Not only do these contributions, which are in cash and/or in kind (business skills), provide the much needed funding that enables Business Against Crime to positively bring about change, but they are also an indicator of the commitment of business to support the change process.

Business Against Crime funders are reflected in categories according to the nature and extent of their commitment:

Platinum Funders who have committed continuous funding from R500,000 and more per annum.

Gold Funders who have committed continuous funding from R300,000 up to R500,000 per annum.

Silver Funders who commit from R100,000 up to R300,000 per annum, either as a once-off  payment or a monthly contribution.

Bronze Funders who commit less than R100,000 per annum, either as a once-off  payment or a monthly contribution.

Donations are also made in kind by means of services, hardware, software, secondments, etc. and depending on the value thereof, are categorised accordingly

Funds are designated at the funder’s request to be applied either towards a specific project, or towards general Business Against Crime initiatives.
